Light-Filtering Fabrics

Light-filtering fabrics are our most versatile option. They reduce glare and UV exposure while still allowing soft, diffused natural light into the room. The printed image appears vibrant from the interior side and translucent from the exterior, creating an interesting dual effect.

Best for: Living rooms, offices, restaurants, and any space where you want to maintain a connection to natural daylight while controlling intensity. Particularly effective for west-facing windows that receive strong afternoon sun.

Considerations: Light-filtering fabrics provide privacy during the day but become transparent at night when interior lights are on. If nighttime privacy is needed, pair with a secondary blackout shade or choose our dual-roller system.

Blackout Fabrics

Our blackout fabrics block 100% of visible light. They're the densest material in our lineup, which means they hold print detail exceptionally well and produce the most saturated colors. The printed image has a slightly matte finish that reads like a gallery canvas.

Best for: Bedrooms, media rooms, conference rooms, hotel guest rooms, and any space where complete light control is essential. Also ideal for TV concealing shades, where the printed artwork needs to look its best as a permanent design element.

Considerations: Blackout fabrics are heavier, which affects the roller mechanism sizing. For very large spans (over 10 feet wide), we may recommend a motorized system to ensure smooth, consistent operation.

Sheer Fabrics

Sheers offer the lightest possible intervention—they soften harsh sunlight and provide a degree of daytime privacy while maintaining an airy, open feel. Printed imagery on sheer fabric has an ethereal, watercolor-like quality that's distinctive and sophisticated.

Best for: Spaces where maximum light is desired, or where the shade serves primarily as a decorative element rather than a functional light blocker. Popular for restaurants, retail spaces, and residential rooms with beautiful views you don't want to obscure.

Considerations: Sheers provide minimal UV protection and no nighttime privacy. Print detail is softer than on denser fabrics, so we recommend bolder, simpler imagery rather than highly detailed photography.

Specialty Materials

For wall murals, we offer vinyl wallcovering rated for commercial use (Type II classification), as well as a removable fabric option for residential installations or spaces where flexibility is important. Both accept our high-resolution printing process with excellent results.
