Large-scale wall murals and acoustic panels transform Yahoo's corporate spaces with nature-inspired imagery and brand elements.

Yahoo's Sunnyvale headquarters showcases how large-format environmental graphics can transform corporate interiors while supporting both aesthetic and functional goals. OrangePiel delivered an extensive installation of custom-printed wall murals and acoustic panels throughout the facility, creating immersive branded environments that enhance employee experience and reinforce company culture.
The installation features diverse nature photography ranging from vibrant poppy fields at golden hour to serene forest scenes and artistic macro florals. Each space receives carefully curated imagery that complements its function, from energizing sunrise landscapes in collaborative areas to calming water scenes in meeting rooms. The oversized sunglasses mural in the main lounge area demonstrates how playful brand elements can create memorable gathering spaces.
Beyond visual impact, the acoustic panel installations in glass-walled conference rooms provide essential sound management for the open office environment. The combination of functional performance and striking visuals demonstrates how thoughtful environmental design can address multiple workplace needs while creating spaces that employees genuinely enjoy inhabiting.
Corporate office installations like this one carry a double brief: brand identity and acoustic comfort. OrangePiel specifies NRC 0.85 printed acoustic panels — absorbing 85% of incident sound energy under ASTM C423 — alongside printed roller shades rated NFPA 701 for commercial fire code. At the scale of a Fortune 500 floor plate, printed fabric treatments outperform gypsum-board paint-and-stencil alternatives on both the acoustic axis (typical office reverberation drops from 1.5-2 seconds to below 0.8 seconds, the range the Acoustical Society of America associates with clear speech and video-call intelligibility) and the brand axis (Pantone-matched custom imagery, printed at up to 1440 DPI via dye-sublimation, carries 10+ years of UV fade resistance per AATCC 16.3). The work visible in this project sits within OrangePiel's standard commercial catalog: full-wall printed murals, individual 48" × 96" panels, and roller shades up to 144 inches wide. Manufactured in Richmond, Virginia; shipped free to the job site.
Yahoo needed to transform their corporate headquarters into engaging, branded environments that would enhance employee satisfaction and reinforce company culture. The modern office layout with extensive glass partitions required both visual interest and acoustic management solutions.
OrangePiel created a comprehensive suite of large-format wall murals and printed acoustic panels featuring curated nature photography and brand-inspired graphics. The installation spans multiple room types, from intimate conference spaces to expansive lounge areas, with imagery selected to complement each environment's specific function and energy level.
The headquarters now features immersive branded environments that employees actively seek out for meetings and collaboration. The acoustic panels provide essential sound management while the striking visuals create Instagram-worthy spaces that reinforce Yahoo's innovative culture and attention to employee experience.
