Samples: See Before You Specify

Printed fabric samples are a critical part of the specification process. OrangePiel provides free samples printed with your actual project imagery on the specific fabric type you are considering. Each sample is approximately 8 by 10 inches — large enough to evaluate print quality, color accuracy, and fabric hand in person. Samples ship within 3 to 5 business days.

We recommend ordering samples of each fabric type you are considering (blackout, light-filtering, solar screen) printed with the same image. This allows direct comparison of how the image renders on different substrates and helps clients understand the practical difference between fabric types. For acoustic panel projects, fabric samples include both the printed fabric and a cross-section of the panel core so you can present the full product to your client.

Color Matching and Brand Standards

Brand-driven projects require precise color matching. OrangePiel supports Pantone color matching for logos and brand elements within dye sublimation printing capabilities. Members of the American Institute of Architects and ASID can request complimentary color proofing. Supply your Pantone references and we produce a printed sample for approval before full production begins. Note that dye sublimation on polyester fabric has a slightly different color gamut than offset printing on paper — our team will advise if any specified colors fall outside the achievable range and recommend the closest match.

For projects where exact brand color fidelity is critical, we recommend a color proof process: submit your brand guidelines, receive a printed fabric proof, and approve (or request adjustments) before production. This adds 5 to 7 business days to the timeline but ensures the final product matches your client brand standards precisely.

Installation Coordination

For most commercial projects, OrangePiel coordinates directly with the general contractor or installation crew on site. Roller shades ship fully assembled and ready to mount — brackets, hardware, and installation instructions are included. Most shades install in 10 to 15 minutes each with standard tools. Acoustic panels ship with French cleat mounting hardware for tool-free hanging after the cleats are mounted.
