• Recommended resolution: 150+ DPI at final print size for maximum sharpness and detail
• File formats: TIFF (preferred), PSD, or high-quality JPEG (no compression artifacts). PDF and AI files for vector artwork

The Production and Installation Process

Digital Proofing

Before production begins, you receive a full-scale digital proof showing the mural composited into a photograph or rendering of your actual space. This proof shows exact color, scale, and positioning for your approval. Changes at this stage are free and unlimited — we do not proceed until you are completely satisfied.

Production

Approved designs enter production: 1080 DPI UV printing on your selected texture, laminated to the SoundCore acoustic substrate. UV-cured inks provide immediate durability — no drying or curing time required. Production typically requires 2–3 weeks depending on panel size and current volume.

Installation

Professional installation by our certified team ensures perfect alignment, secure mounting, and clean finishing. Installation methods vary by wall surface: mechanical fasteners for masonry and concrete, cleat systems for drywall, and specialized adhesive systems for glass or metal surfaces. Most room installations complete in one day. Large-scale commercial projects may require 2–3 days.

What if my artwork does not meet resolution requirements?

Our pre-press team evaluates every submitted image and provides an honest assessment of print quality at your target size. In many cases, AI-assisted upscaling can enhance resolution without visible quality loss. For images that cannot meet quality standards, we recommend alternatives: choosing a different image, reducing the mural size to match the source resolution, or commissioning original artwork at the correct resolution. We never proceed with a print we are not confident will look excellent at the installed viewing distance.

How do I choose between smooth, linen, and canvas textures?

For photographic images with fine detail, smooth texture provides the sharpest reproduction. For nature scenes, landscapes, and organic imagery, linen adds warmth without sacrificing clarity. For fine art reproductions, painterly images, and gallery-quality installations, canvas provides the most authentic art-on-canvas appearance. Can I print on both sides of an acoustic mural panel?

Standard acoustic murals are printed on the front face only, with the back designed for wall mounting. What happens if the mural gets damaged after installation?

The printed fabric face is a separate layer from the acoustic substrate. If the surface is damaged — scratched, torn, or stained beyond cleaning — the fabric face can be replaced without removing the acoustic core. We maintain production files for every mural we produce, so replacement faces are printed from the exact same source file for a perfect match.
