General Questions
Can I provide you with my own artwork?
Yes, we work with you digital images, paintings, scans, negatives, slides, etc. If it can be digitized, we can help you.
What kind of image resolution do I need to provide?
See Image Processing for baseline specifications.
I am an artist, can I use your medium for reproductions?
Yes, we work with artists of varying mediums. In fact, we urge you to become a contributing artist.
Do the window shades, fine art prints, and seamless wallpaper wallcoverings contain PVC?
No, our wallcoverings are not vinyl and do not contain PVC. Better for our world and better for you.

Does OrangePiel accept credit cards?
Yes. OrangePiel accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Image Processing
Preparing a JPEG Image
Currently, our online system will only handle JPG files. Image specifications can very from image to image, but there are some rules of thumb to abide by.
- 150 DPI - This assures that we are able to maximize the quality of each product printed
- CMYK Colorspace - We print all images using the industry standards for high-resolution printing - CMYK is industry standard.
- 5000px Minimum Pixel Dimension - We recommend that you upload files at a minimum pixel dimesion of 5000px (on shortest side), but recommend around 7000px and higher.
- Patience - our website it processing very large images. Sometimes it make take a few minutes to process, but the end result is specialty produced fine art, not mass-produced.
NOTE: do not push your image over the limit of clarity. If you believe that your image will become pixelated, fill out our technical form and we can work with you one-on-one.
Quick Test: A good way to see if your image will produce well at large sizes is to upscale and view your image at 100%. Remember, this image will be viewed at a distance. Just like your HDTV isnt perfectly sharp at a distance of 3", your image may have a haze at these large sizes. See Examples for more info.
Preparing an AI / EPS Image
We are aware that many artists are using programs such as Adobe Illustrator as their palette. We love vector files because of their scalability and reliability. Our online system does not yet handle uploading AI / EPS files, but if you prepare your file at size, fill out this form and we will point you to our direct uploader so we can process your image and get you prepared for you creating on demand decor.
Baseline Specs:
- CMYK Colorspace
- Art Board Dimension: 7000px and higher - if you are designing specifically for a product, create file at final output size (inches).
- Fonts: "Create Outlines" - Unique fonts sometimes don't translate onto other machines. Remember to "create outlines" for your unique fonts.
- No Crop or Trim marks
- Flatten Transparencies / Spot Colors
Can OrangePiel Scan and Image for me?
Yes, OrangePiel can scan photos and artwork for you. We are able to process and clean up your images for a $35 charge.

Custom Printed Window Shades
Will my printed window shades fade in the sun?
No. Because of OrangePiel's colorfast UV cured printing process your image will remain vibrant for 10 years and longer.
Do you print logos for retail and commercial spaces?
We have worked with a number of retail clients to create effective branded printed window shades.
Warranty Information
Does OrangePiel offer a guarantee?
Yes, OrangePiel offers a no-risk guarantee. If you are not pleased with your custom product, we will work with you to find a solution or refund your money. Product must be returned within 15 days to qualify for refund.
OrangePiel stands behind its products. We offer a 5-year warranty on parts and defects. This does not cover customer inflicted battle wounds to OrangePiel products. If your product falters under normal wear and tear, consider it taken care of. Unfortunately, we don't cover the late-night party that went awry.

Shipping Options
What kind of Shipping Options does OrangePiel provide?
Paying for shipping is so 2001. OrangePiel ships your products for free - standard. Your order should ship from our custom production facility (think North Pole and elves - except warmer) in 3 weeks or less.
OrangePiel also offers expedited shipping for customers with an unquenchable thirst for their custom printed window shades, fine art prints, and seamless wallpaper.
